Alex returned to Papua 10 years ago to focus on birwatching and wildlife. In his first two years back in Papua, Alex worked as a local bird guide, learning how to organize birdwatching trips. With this experience, he began creating his own birdwatching lodge and working with indigenous Papuans to establish a birdwathing destination in Nimbokrang. For Alex, leading birdwatching groups rekindled his childhood love of exploring the jungle, where he found joy in listening to the sounds of birds and wildlife. Alex is also deeply committed to conservation and wildlife. He takes great pride in his dedicated and never-give-up approach to every single day in the field.
