This tour is led by a local birding guide and takes place at some of the best birdwatching locations in Nimbokrang, including a visit to the Blue River, all within easy reach.
Due to our remote location and the logistical arrangements involved, all reservations must be made at least seven days in advance.

Detail Itinerary
Day 1
Nimbokrang & Blue River (Genyem)
Start early with a 30-minute walk from Isyo Lodge Papua to the Bird-of-Paradise hide. Here, you will have the chance to observe iconic species the Lesser Bird-of-Paradise from a hide. Along the way, you may also spot other unique forest birds, such as the Pale-billed Sicklebill and various endemic species. After birdwatching, enjoy a short break before continuing to the beautiful Blue River (Kali Biru Genyem). Relax in the clear water, go for a swim, or try bamboo rafting. The tour lasts around 6 hours. The tour ends with a transfer back to Isyo Lodge Papua.

Notes
- For birdwatching minimum age: 10 years
- For birdwatching dark clothes and closed trekking shoes are recommended
- All forest activities must be accompanied by a local guide and porter
- Good physical condition required
- Please respect local customs and nature
