Day 1

Arrival in Indonesia

Arrival in Jakarta or Bali, followed by a private transfer to your hotel and free time depending on your flight schedule.

Flight to Jayapura

Arrival in Jayapura, followed by a private transfer to your hotel and free time depending on your flight schedule.

Day 3

Arrival in Wamena

Arrival in Wamena, the gateway to the Baliem Valley. Upon arrival, visit the colorful Wamena Market, where the Dani people trade sweet potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and wild boar meat—an essential part of daily life in the highlands. This is the perfect introduction to the region’s unique culture and traditions.

Day 4-5

Baliem Valley

Spend several days exploring the Baliem Valley, hiking through stunning mountain landscapes and traditional villages. Walk along the Baliem River, cross suspension bridges, and gain insight into the daily life of the Dani tribe, one of Papua’s most iconic indigenous communities. During your stay, you will also discover traditional cuisine by harvesting sweet potatoes and learning the ancient hot-stone cooking method. A visit to a coffee plantation in Pugima offers the opportunity to taste freshly roasted highland Papuan coffee.

Day 6

Sentani Lake

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Sentani. Upon arrival, begin a private boat excursion around Lake Sentani. Visit the village of Yoboi, built on the water and renowned for its sago forest, which provides essential food and raw materials for local communities, including the famous sago worm. Continue by boat to Asei Island, known for its bark paintings and wood carvings, and visit the village of Abar, celebrated for its traditional handmade pottery. In the afternoon, travel by road to Nimbokrang.

Sentani Lake

Day 7

Bird of Paradise Nimbokrang

Depart before dawn for a jungle trek in Nimbokrang in search of Papua’s legendary birds of paradise, one of the region’s greatest natural treasures. With some luck, you may spot species such as the Twelve-wired Bird-of-Paradise, the Lesser Bird-of-Paradise, and the King Bird-of-Paradise, among many other native birds. In the afternoon, visit the Blue River (Kali Biru), famous for its crystal-clear waters and peaceful surroundings. The experience is enhanced with a traditional bamboo rafting activity and a tasting of locally prepared dishes from the Namblong tribe.

Day 8

Flight to Sorong

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Sorong, the gateway to Raja Ampat. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time to relax and prepare for the marine adventure ahead.

Day 9

Raja Ampat

Boat excursion to some of Raja Ampat’s most spectacular sites, including:

  • Piaynemo, famous for its viewpoint overlooking karst islets surrounded by turquoise waters
  • Telaga Bintang, a beautiful star-shaped lagoon perfect for photography
  • Arborek, a small ecotourism island with a local village where snorkeling can be enjoyed directly from the jetty among colorful corals, tropical fish, and occasionally manta rays
  • Sawandarek, where sea turtles are often spotted near the jetty and manta rays can sometimes be seen in the seagrass meadows
  • Pasir Timbul Sandbank, located off Kri Island

Day 10

Free Day in Raja Ampat

Enjoy a free day at your own pace in this tropical paradise. Relax by the sea, swim, snorkel, or simply unwind in one of the most spectacular marine environments on Earth.

Pasir Timbul Sanbank

Day 11

Return to Sorong and Departure from Papua

After breakfast, transfer by boat to Waisai Harbor to board the ferry back to Sorong. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport, where your adventure through Papua comes to an end.

Day 12

Flight to Bali

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bali. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Ubud and enjoy free time depending on your flight schedule. If time permits, you may visit Pura Taman Saraswati Temple, stroll through the Kajeng rice fields, explore the Royal Palace, or take a leisurely walk along the scenic Campuhan Ridge.
