Located along the main road connecting Jayapura and Sarmi, Isyo Lodge Papua welcomes you to the heart of Papua’s northern lowlands a well known destination for birdwatching, jungle trekking, exploring Kali Biru Genyem, and discovering the traditional villages of the Namblong tribe.

 

Nestled in Rhepang Muaif Village, the lodge has been welcoming guests since 2015. What began as a simple birdwatching lodge has grown into one of the most comfortable and authentic places to stay in Nimbokrang.

 

Nimbokrang is widely regarded as one of the best birdwatching destinations in Papua, celebrated for its incredible biodiversity, easy accessibility from Sentani Airport, and well-developed infrastructure. The region is home to rich wildlife and a deeply rooted cultural heritage.

 

Set within a traditional Namblong tribal village, our lodge combines local architectural design with warm wooden interiors, creating a peaceful and authentic rainforest atmosphere where guests can relax to the natural sounds of the jungle.

Each room is equipped with windows, a terrace, and mosquito nets to ensure a more comfortable night’s sleep. All rooms are also fitted with fans to keep the atmosphere cool and pleasant. This accommodation is located in the middle of a natural forest, where birds and butterflies often come to visit, while the surrounding nature remains lush, green, and well-preserved.

Sming Dam Restaurant serves authentic Indonesian and traditional Namblong tribal cuisine made with fresh local ingredients from surrounding farms, forests, and gardens. Meals are prepared using traditional wood-fired cooking methods and served buffet-style in a communal dining setting.

Rumah Kbo is a gallery dedicated to showcasing Noken, traditional woven bags made by the women known as Mama-Mama of the Namblong Tribe. These unique bags reflect the culture, skills, and identity of the Indigenous people who have lived in this valley for generations.
