Nestled in Rhepang Muaif Village, the lodge has been welcoming guests since 2015. What began as a simple birdwatching lodge has grown into one of the most comfortable and authentic places to stay in Nimbokrang.
Nimbokrang is widely regarded as one of the best birdwatching destinations in Papua, celebrated for its incredible biodiversity, easy accessibility from Sentani Airport, and well-developed infrastructure. The region is home to rich wildlife and a deeply rooted cultural heritage.

Each room is equipped with windows, a terrace, and mosquito nets to ensure a more comfortable night’s sleep. All rooms are also fitted with fans to keep the atmosphere cool and pleasant. Sming Dam Restaurant serves authentic Indonesian and traditional Namblong tribal cuisine made with fresh local ingredients from surrounding farms, forests, and gardens. Meals are prepared using traditional wood-fired cooking methods and served buffet-style in a communal dining setting.
