Starting as a birdwatching lodge, it has now become a comfortable place to stay in Nimbokrang.
Located along the main road between Jayapura and Sarmi, Isyo Lodge welcomes you to the heart of Papua’s northern lowlands, a popular destination in Jayapura for birdwatching, jungle trekking, Kali Biru Genyem, and village trekking in the Namblong tribal area.
Nimbokrang is one of the best birdwatching destinations in Papua, known for its rich biodiversity, good infrastructure, and easy access from Sentani Airport. This region is abundant in wildlife and deeply rooted cultural heritage. Situated in a Namblong tribal village, our lodge offers traditional-style accommodation inspired by local architecture and built with wooden furnishings, providing an authentic stay surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

Each room is equipped with windows, a terrace, and mosquito nets to ensure a more comfortable night’s sleep. All rooms are also fitted with fans to keep the atmosphere cool and pleasant. We have 6 twin rooms, 2 king rooms, 1 triple room, and 1 family room.
This accommodation is located in the middle of a natural forest, where birds and butterflies often come to visit, while the surrounding nature remains lush, green, and well-preserved.

Sming Dam Restaurant offers dishes that blend authentic Indonesian flavors with traditional Namblong tribal cuisine. Our menu is made from fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers, as well as produce from our own forests and gardens. We serve traditional dishes cooked using time honored wood fired cooking methods passed down through generations. All meals are presented in the traditional Namblong style, served buffet-style at communal tables to create a warm, friendly, and memorable atmosphere.

Rumah Kbo is a gallery dedicated to showcasing Noken, traditional woven bags made by the women known as Mama-Mama of the Namblong Tribe. These unique bags reflect the culture, skills, and identity of the Indigenous people who have lived in this valley for generations.
