Welcome to Isyo Lodge

Located in the heart of Jayapura’s northern lowlands, this place opened in 2015 and has since become an accomodation  in Nimbokrang.

Located along the main road between Jayapura and Sarmi, Isyo Lodge welcomes you to the heart of Papua’s northern lowlands. Jayapura—the capital of Papua—our rainforest retreat offers a peaceful blend of nature, culture, and comfort.

Set in a Namblong tribal village, our lodge features traditional-style accommodations inspired by local architecture and crafted with wood furnishings, providing an authentic stay surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

Nimbokrang is one of Papua’s top birdwatching destinations, known for its biodiversity, good infrastructure, and easy access from Sentani Airport. It’s a region rich in wildlife and deep cultural heritage.

Our day tours take you through jungle trails once used by our ancestors to barter with coastal tribes. These ancient paths lead you through lush valleys alive with  exotic species. Each day brings something new—spot rare birds at sunrise, walk ancestral routes, and connect with the natural beauty of Papua’s rainforest.

Book one of our tour programs and let us welcome you with local warmth and unforgettable experiences.

The menu showcases dishes crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including produce from nearby farmers and harvests from our own forests and gardens. We proudly present traditional dishes prepared using time-honored wood-fire cooking methods. Meals are served in the Namblong Tribe’s signature style—buffet-style at communal tables to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Gallery

Rumah Kbo is a gallery that dedicated space to showcase Noken, the traditional handwoven bags made by the women—known as Mama-Mama—of the Namblong Tribe. These unique bags reflect the culture, skill, and identity of the Indigenous people who have lived in the valley for generations.
